DEUTERONOMY 31: 6 - Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” Amen
Deuteronomy 31 v 6 forms part of a raft of encouraging words from Moses to Joshua after his appointment as his successor. Moses encouraged Joshua to go forward on the strength of the divine promise. Even though the land they were about to enter was promised to them by God, they had no knowledge of its content.
That would certainly cause fear of the unknown, but Moses assured them that the Lord would fulfil His promise to give the land of Canaan to them.
They were to be strong, courageous, and fearless as they moved forward in resolute trust in God's presence to guide, support and defend them.
God never fails! Such a timeless reminder to us that in these uncertain times of economic and geopolitical melt down, Believers, are encouraged to show fearless response; boldness (in our faith), trusting God as our source of strength.
Like Joshua, we do not have all the answers to the many challenges facing us, but the Lord says to us " Don't be afraid, do not be weak, but take courage and trust in God ", " For l will never leave you nor forsake you".
