BY TRAIN:

Goodmayes Railway Station is on the line from London Liverpool Street to Romford and Shenfield.  Simply come out of the station, turn left, and walk down Goodmayes Road to Goodmayes Baptist Church.  It is just a 3 minute walk.

PLEASE BE AWARE that on the following weekends there are no trains calling at Goodmayes Station: -

Saturday & Sunday 29 February 2020 & 01 March 2020

Saturday & Sunday 07 & 08 March 2020

Saturday & Sunday 14 & 15 March 2020

Saturday & Sunday 21 & 22 March 2020

Saturday  & Sunday 28 & 29 March 2020

Saturday & Sunday 18 & 19 April 2020

This is in connection with engineering work.

Those arriving by train are advised to travel on Central Line to Gants Hill, and then get the 128 (going to Romford Station) or 150 bus (going to Becontree Heath).  Listen out for the announcement ‘Goodmayes Lane’, alight and walk northwards along Goodmayes Road to Goodmayes Baptist Church.

Alternatively, travel by train to Barking Station.  Then catch the EL3 bus, going northwards to Little Heath.  Listen out for the announcement ‘Goodmayes Station’.  Alight at that stop.  It is just a short distance to Goodmayes Baptist Church.  Cross Goodmayes Road at the zebra crossing to get to the church.

Goodmayes Railway Station now has step-free access to Platforms 2 & 3 and to Platform 4 by means of lifts.

However, Platform 1 does not yet have lifts – So far, they have just got the foundation for the lift shaft prepared; hopefully progress will be made in the coming months.

Platform 1 is not used that often.  However, from time to time London bound trains do go from Platform 1.  In that situation, anyone requiring step free access to a London bound train would be advised to use the lift to get to Platform 2, and board a Shenfield bound train.  Then get off the train at Chadwell Heath (which is the next station), use the lifts to transfer from Platform 2 to Platform 1, and then board a London bound train.  Alternatively, stay on the Shenfield bound train as far as Gidea Park, get off, just step across the platform, and then board a train going towards Liverpool Street.
